Campus: The Tula’s campus is sited on the Dehradun – Chakrata Road (NH-72) in Dhoolkot at Town Selaqui in District Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The campus is 16 km away from the Dehradun Railway Station and 43 km away from the Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun.

VIT University was initially founded as Vellore Engineering College on 5 July 1984 by Dr. G Viswanathan, a former parliamentarian and minister in the government of Tamil Nadu,2016 admissions started. Viswanathan.The college was initially affiliated with Madras University.
