Vinayaka Missions University, Salem (VMUDE) was established in 2007 with the objective of widening access to higher for diversified learners at national and global levels,2016 admissions started. The academic programs are approved by the Distance Education Council, IGNOU, New Delhi. The Vinayaka Missions University was started only with three programs namely B.D.S., B.H.M.S. and B.Sc(Nursing) in 2001 and now the university is offering more than 125 regular programs and over 200 distance education programs.The Vinayaka Missions University with its e-governance initiative aims to become a renowned university in the field of Distance Education. The University has been successfully implementing job oriented programs and it has also regularized the unorganized sectors by introducing short term certificate and diploma programs.
